Hmm, yeah. I read that Sheridan is pretty cheap, but I know nothing of their financial aid process.

Have you looked into other schools like SVA, LCAD, or Sheridan where it's cheaper?
I did apply to SVA and got accepted, but they didn’t give me much aid either. I’ll double check, though.
I have looked at LCAD but never got the chance to apply. I might if things don’t work out. Sheridan seems out of my reach in terms of location.

Well, this sucks
Sooo…looks like I won’t be attending CalArts this fall. Don’t have the financial back up and..I simply can’t afford it. The remaining amount I had to take out in loans was scary. It sucks that I had to let money decide for me instead of myself. Yeah, I’m probably going to regret it later, but I just can’t do it.
Oh well.
I just want to thank you all for the congratulatory messages last month. They meant so much and made my day. :) I hope the future CalArtians learn as much as they can, but also have tons of fun!
Well…enough of this art school brouhaha, time to put my focus back on art and school work.

Since I don’t have anything else, have a drawing of me I did at 3 in the morning…because apparently that’s the only time I draw.

It’s more of creating tons of shapes and trying to “build” a character from that. Sometimes, I create characters just from the scribbles on the page. It always changes! I don’t really have a set “technique” on creating characters. I just…do it, I guess. Ha. There are days where it doesn’t come together, though. Lots of trial and error.
